Extensive Automotive Dealership Experience: John's professional career started with Rutten Welling & Company, Certified Public Accountants, who contracted with Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler to provide audits for their dealer development programs as well as tax services. The group specialized in every phase of automobile management.

After three years with the group, he formed the firm of Balamucki, Gwizdala & Swiger, Certified Public Accountants, providing audits, tax and legal work to other dealers experiencing operating problems. We expanded our practice in to the areas of Vehicle Sales Management as well as the Parts and Service Departments Management.

During the past 45 years he has enjoyed working in the automobile dealership business in every area of the business. Unfortunately, the work has lead to the discovery of over $2 million in embezzled funds, and the necessity to provide litigation support for clients.

I have also received training to properly handle LIFO Inventory valuations and meet conformity requirements unique to automobile dealerships.

Business Valuation Experience: As part of the AICPA Business Valuation Courses, requiring 64 continuing education hours, I successfully completed litigation support coursework. Business Valuation training provided by AICPA has been very useful in the buying and selling of automobile dealerships.

General Tax Experience: As the managing partner of Gwizdala & Associates, P.C. his responsibility now extends to audits for 401k Plans, cooperative housing associations, condominium associations and non-profit corporations. We currently prepare over 250 personal 1040 tax returns and over 200 corporate 1120 and 1065 tax returns along with all the related state returns including Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, California, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Common Interest Realty Associations: John has been providing audit and tax services for over thirty years for Condominium & Homeowners Associations, Cooperative Housing Non-profit Corporations and related limited housing associations, Michigan State Housing Development Authority and US Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has extensive experience in working with Boards of Directors and Property Management companies to ensure a smooth audit and tax preparation experience. (810)632-5520
